DISCLAIMER: These notes are from the defunct k8 project which precedes SquirrelJME. The notes for SquirrelJME start on 2016/02/26! The k8 project was effectively a Java SE 8 operating system and as such all of the notes are in the context of that scope. That project is no longer my goal as SquirrelJME is the spiritual successor to it.

Decided to add the building of my entire runtime, and it seems that the compiler adds an unknown flag that is not in the specs: class flag 256. The class that gets hit is java/security/interfaces/ECPublicKey.class. Even though invalid flags are to be ignored, I wonder what the flag means. But I suppose the best thing to do would be to ignore them.

Could go for a slight optimization and restructure of the recompilation code to make it neater.

12:39

Actually, I am pretty sure the error relates to the long/double value since the failing class has a constant long field.

13:02

Definitely going to go for a rebuff of the kernel compilation system so that it is far better optimized and more dynamic.

13:24

One that can also handle stuff like compact profiles and error out if the kernel depends on any bad dependency stuff.

13:56

Also hairball is getting a bit crowded so I am going to split the kernel and package specific building stuff into subpackages to keep it better organized. The kernel builder is also more specific than the packager so it will vary on things. The only package the kernel needs is the dynamic recompiler, the rest of the classes are handled specially such as the kernel and the run-time. Do not wish to mess with my package compiler so that it can build the kernel also.

The ResourceBundle stuff can just use the class name rather than manually typing the location of things, will be far easier to move stuff although the slashes are a problem.
