DISCLAIMER: These notes are from the defunct k8 project which precedes SquirrelJME. The notes for SquirrelJME start on 2016/02/26! The k8 project was effectively a Java SE 8 operating system and as such all of the notes are in the context of that scope. That project is no longer my goal as SquirrelJME is the spiritual successor to it.

Need to read members of classes and get all of that information decoded.

The version of JamVM that I had with Debian did not work so I was forced to use an interpreter on this system, so I just luckily found an older version of the package still in my cache. Now I can feel the speed of a cached interpreter.

I need a more modular approach to loading of class files for later translation, what I currently have is getting a bit messy, quite messy.

17:12

How about a dyanmic like system where instead of everything being read it is just referenced. When the byte buffer is first passed it builds a map of the entire class in memory then when stuff is actually requested it is obtained from the buffers.

17:18

Well that might be a bit ugly, so perhaps something like a consumer of sorts would work better.

17:56

Perhaps something that would be good is if the class is decoupled from the loader, so that way a loader just injects stuff into a class. Then that way the actual class that describes the class does not contain any loading code in it. Then that way, any new loader engines could be attached and separated. Virtually all of my previous class loaders coupled together the class information and the loading, and that gets rather messy. Or it previously has been something as to abstract classes for different class formats filling in information.
