DISCLAIMER: These notes are from the defunct k8 project which precedes SquirrelJME. The notes for SquirrelJME start on 2016/02/26! The k8 project was effectively a Java SE 8 operating system and as such all of the notes are in the context of that scope. That project is no longer my goal as SquirrelJME is the spiritual successor to it.

My OS could target Palm OS devices and enable itself to be booted from Palm OS without requiring flashing hardware, would be stuck in a dual boot however.

This new KBF stuff is so far much nicer to code for. It also seems more efficient also.

15:03

This mutable KBF stuff is rather neat too.

Some bits take awhile to build, I should perhaps fragment the kernel-binary package to speed things up as needed. So far however, all of my stuff works which is rather nice, or at least it seems so. This is based on the debug log.

My normal run is one minute and 40 seconds. A full build from nothing nets me after my moving changes (which includes the massive Java library) at... I should get some food and eat while it builds, although it takes a few minutes to build.

Went to do real life things, but it took 6 minutes and 38 seconds. A fully same state gives me 31 seconds. Upping the mod time of a Java loader gives me 52 seconds.
