DISCLAIMER: These notes are from the defunct k8 project which precedes SquirrelJME. The notes for SquirrelJME start on 2016/02/26! The k8 project was effectively a Java SE 8 operating system and as such all of the notes are in the context of that scope. That project is no longer my goal as SquirrelJME is the spiritual successor to it.

Now I am awake, and work begins.

Ok my beacon work can be modified and improved to use Channels instead of input and output streams, since native IO is much nicer looking. I could call it a pseudo file system of sorts, minimal. Then for the input of files I can just capture the entire root of said filesystem.

Or I am over complicating things, I can just make a pseudo storage area and access mechanism which is capable of being placed in memory and such, I can use URIs and URLs to determine the placement of files and such. Then when used by the code, it is able to read and write files on the disk along with having an in memory cache when needed. All of the stages could share this and such. This appears to be the best way to do it, keep it minimal and simple but flexible enough to work well.
