DISCLAIMER: These notes are from the defunct k8 project which precedes SquirrelJME. The notes for SquirrelJME start on 2016/02/26! The k8 project was effectively a Java SE 8 operating system and as such all of the notes are in the context of that scope. That project is no longer my goal as SquirrelJME is the spiritual successor to it.

I will need to know the package a template resides in so there are enforced dependencies on packages.

A modified URLClassLoader with an exposed addURL works well in hairball as I can just not worry about duplicate URLs (since internally it is a set) and it keeps it to one object so there is no complex dependency parent stuff to worry about.

Going to add a configuration setting for compiler selection so that different compilers may be chosen depending on the architecture level support. If an architecture has only a single compiler then that is the only choice available, but due to the more dynamic nature it is possible for an architecture to have more than one. Since I do not plan on NARF to support more advanced optimizations such as SIMD support (I want to keep the first compiler I write simple), a newer compiler in the future may be a better choice.

I would say that my remade hairball is quite nice and much better and simpler than the complex mess before.
