What if the processor for the stream such as the inflation and deflation were
just an InputStream. Handling it and wrapping to an OutputStream would be
simple in a way where it can just wrap the output from the input.

Actually in the case of incomplete data, that would be some complex work when dealing with an output stream and input stream.
