Fonts are not being read correctly however in the output file there is a newline at the start, which means that somewhere is outputting a newline into the output. This needs to be removed or changed to print to the error stream.


The hostedlaunch script was adding a newline, hopefully removing that fixes things.


I need something better for the font engine. That can more easily handle drawing and is not associated with specific graphics.


Well, maybe just a font cache that changes accordingly like properties change and such. That way it is faster and such. Could maybe render things to a monochrome bitmap of sorts. I would want font drawing to be fast but it seems it is going to be a bit complex.


Or when drawing things, I can setup a temporary text object and such and then just map that to some bitmap.
