DISCLAIMER: These notes are from the defunct k8 project which precedes SquirrelJME. The notes for SquirrelJME start on 2016/02/26! The k8 project was effectively a Java SE 8 operating system and as such all of the notes are in the context of that scope. That project is no longer my goal as SquirrelJME is the spiritual successor to it.

I am sure of the argument to passed to the translator, but not the return type of it. Perhaps I should return a map which contains output, which may be in multiple forms and such. And I believe for simplicity that the build plugin should just invoke my own Java compiler as that would simplify things to a certain extent. Or perhaps some kind of grouped front end would be better.

A toolbox API would work with interacting with the very basic compiler. I should just keep the locator code that I wrote (all the beacon stuff) as there is no real need to rewrite it. However, I am going to modify it to use channels instead of streams because that is just stronger. Using a FileChannel will simplify things because I do not need to maintain separate inputs and outputs, they are just combined.

Using FileChannel has considerably reduced the line count in the Beacon class.
