DISCLAIMER: These notes are from the defunct k8 project which precedes SquirrelJME. The notes for SquirrelJME start on 2016/02/26! The k8 project was effectively a Java SE 8 operating system and as such all of the notes are in the context of that scope. That project is no longer my goal as SquirrelJME is the spiritual successor to it.

Constant pool TOC entries might not really be needed at all.

With special IDs, I do not need nested tables at all, so KBFs would be much simpler and with a single directory of entries "compression" works better. I can also turn that reserved byte into some kind of sub-index of sorts.

Every constant pool entry can point to a reference and each entry can be its own data type.

There are going to be a ton of mutable types. I just had this idea of having my sc.h header contain all of the structured information as needed which provides view into the data of specific kinds. So basically instead of having a StructClass for everything my header is parsed using simple tokenization and then structures are built that define specific entries. The mutable versions of those fields will just be a bit more dynamic. With it this way, I can just have StructEntry and MutableEntry which provide a "C"-like view to the data, with some checking. Then with it this way, there is only a single StructEntry and MutableEntry instead of a whole bunch of them. This should also reduce repeat code since much of the structure information is the same.
